Project Hope

These 4 days I have been to a northern part of Guangdong province in Mainland China to experience village life and perform some charity work to local underprivilegded. It turns out not much is related to charity, for local kids can access to internet cafes and all have big houses and TVs at home. They enjoy free education for 9 years and all girls can receive the same benefits. The only difference of them from the city kids is they are not exposed to the world outside, so they are extremely amazed when they see us - they cover their mouths and cannot help hiding their grin shouting "Hong Kong people! Beautiful Hong Kong people!" Innocence is the key to happiness, because when you see new teachers, you are happy; when you see cameras, you are happy; when you see anything you have never seen before, you are happy.

From runway to office

Simple nude jacket// satin black pants from unknown boutique// nine west heels// Louis Vuttion green bag// H&M sunglassess// Artini Jewels// Tissot watch// M.A.C brave red lipstick// Dior nail colour//

Nude, beige and pastel colours are definitely in this season, I put on a shoulder-pad pinkish nude blazer to echo with spring. Going to office may equal to minimalism, but I normally make use of cocktail rings and accessories to build up my personality of my outfit. I am not a big fan of LV monogram but this green speedy i got long long time ago signatures a bit of edge and practicability. Do you like the mixture of creamy nude colour with green?

I am heading to the northern part of Guangdong province for some charity work tomorrow morning - teaching English to underpriviledged children living in mountain areas. It is part of my job, but certainly a new page of adventure and exposure. I mean, I never teach while I travel, not to mention it's an opportunity to give what I know to the less fortunate ones! So, see you when I am back <3

Orange against the wall

Orange dress from unknown boutique// Le Saunda heels from Le Saunda outlet// Chanel class flap bag// Marc Jacobs sunglassess// Chanel nail colour//

This sharp orange dress was last seen here but this time I pair it up with another pair of sunglasses and heels. The Le Saunda heels are not just for boring office ladies, not to bluff, but these are truly the most comfry heels I have had - especially the cushion platform sturctured to add pads to relieve pain and help grip on the ground surface and the spidery front straps prevent my feet from sliding left and right so my feet are positioned properly. I walk in them when travelling to not-so-steep tourist spots and shopping despite their 3.5" heels. And as I got them from an outlet, the price was marked down from HKD $1295 to $499! ho ho ho.

Properly the last picture of traditional Chinese background - good luck to all my dear girls who are heading to Beijing soon! <3

Make it in Beijing

Time can never linger, you can never resist dynasmics. It's new this minute, it's old the next. What stays in every moment is the scratches of flow sculptured in the clock of presence. Perhaps one sees him/himself in Beijing, that one treasures himself in everchanging surroundings yet
is exemplified by massive and structured historical architecture and dignified sentiments of human qualities. Peeping through the window to observe the city, listening to the whisper of "R" sound of Beijing accent, it demonstrates a mixture of traditional sense of community and post-industiral skyscrapers outlook.

Great Wall

Bershka white shirt// Pinkish nude scarf (forgotten)// Jeans bought in Czech// Elle ballerina// Chanel flap bag// Marc Jacobs sunglassess

Fashion and Great Wall? It recalls me of the Fendi fashion show held at the Great wall in 2007.

Temple of Heaven

Burberry scarf// Jeans bought in Czech// Staccato wedges// Chanel classic flap bag//

Let me tell you, the location of where the Temple of Heaven is is FREEZING. I appreciate the combination of all kinds of gems like jade and copper being incorporated into the temple.

Forbidden City

Blue-Green One piece (forgotten)// Elle Ballerina// Chanel flap bag// Coach necklace// Burberry scarf// Gucci sunglasses// M.A.C Brave Red lipstick//

This is my second time to be at the Forbidden City but it still "wows" me when I arrive. It takes you about 3 hours to walk through the Palace of Ming and Qing Dynasty and historical details are found if you read the signs and overhear the guides explaining to other tourists. Of course, I have to put on electric red colour lipstick to echo with the most atmospheric Chinese heritage! :)

My way to Beijing

Simple one piece dress// Blazer (forgotten)// Chanel classic flap bag// nine west heels// Marc Jacobs sunglasses// ugly suitcase which my mom doesn't want :P //

One good thing about HK Airport is that you can check-in in the city centre and jump onto the Airport Express completely at ease. So even if you have to catch a flight after a day of hard work, it's still managable.

Burberry April Showers

I wouldn't mind rainy days if I had these outfits.

Holiday Mood

Flats are perfect for the weekend, especially when I have to climbed up the hill to visit my grandma at the cemetery. The fringed grey vest adds a little touch to the simple white shoulder pad top.

I love the classic black and white combination.

Women are afraid of "mellowness", but a lady as beautiful as Olivia Newton John asked "Have you ever been mellow?". I see it as something good, in a good way, and life is a life because you move on, you go through different stages and experience dynamics. Girls with stories, to me, are much more attractive. You got to dress and act age-appropriately.

M.A.C Fever

For a proessional make up brand as famous as M.A.C, I don't need to elaborate on the practicality and exquisite packaging of the brand. This is the 2010 Tartan Christmas brush set. I always like a sense o uniformity in terms of brushes and tools are vital for softness and contouring of the make up. Some of them do have hair dropping off at times, but most of them are durable and accurate in shaping features. Some of the eyeshadows which meet your daily needs for day and night out. The thing is, they have various textures including matte, lustre, satin, velvet and frost and suit your mood of the day. You always need Paint Pot to prevent your eyes from getting oily thus messying up your eyeshadows and concealers to cover spots and acnes.I have got Black glitter and Violet eyeliner to brighten up your eyes. Contouring, Shiny, Brownish, Pinkish, Peachy, highlighting....M.A.C blsuh set never disappoints you. To be frank, M.A.C lipsticks are not that outstanding for it is not moisturizing enough. Yet the lustre gloss sections have the most sparkling glosses you might have ever seen consisting of colours of purple, peach, flashy red and neon orange.
I have also got some pigments and base products to share!
It's true that once you get to M.A.C, NARS and Shu Uemura, you won't even bother walkig around counters o other brands whose marketing strateges are princess packaging or do not excel in make up products but skincare lines. Make-up is all about colours, textures and practicality, on top of it, fun! Going to M.A.C counter is one of my everyday routines. :)
