Review: Clinique Chubby Sticks

Photobucket They come so handy when you don't want to apply colours to your lips with a mirror.

Left: Clinique Chubby Stick Intense 08 Grandest Grape -
a rich, deep berry grape colour that is very glossy and moisturizing on lips. It completely covers my original lip colour because of its new intense formula. A very sophisticated semi-opaque colour that you can wear for a grand occasion (and it works to create a Blair Waldorf's look too). It stays consistently on my lips for some hours and does not set into my lip lines, only leaving a sheer stain. The texture is really soft and it can be applied without a lip balm on top, and it does not bleed.
Pigmentation: 5/5 great colour payoff that doesn't look fake
Texture: 5/5 moisturizing and smooth to apply
Longevity: 4/5 lasts for some hours on my lips and leaves a nice stain
Packaging: 4/5 a chubby lip crayon; great for storage and you don't need to use a sharpener - just roll it up
Price: 4.5/5 $150 HKD/ 18 in Germany, a reasonable price for a Clinique lipstick
overall: 4.5/5
Photobucket Right: Clinique Chubby Stick 07 Super Strawberry -
a sheer soft pink with slight berry undertones that is not as pigmented as the intense collection. It is a coloured lip balm giving very subtle definition and will work better on lighter lips. The colour is invisible with one swipe, but highly buildable. It certainly has very low longevity - it lasts only about an hour on my lips and completely disappears. It does not set into lip lines, and it promises a smooth, natural but hardly noticeable pinky pout.

Pigmentation: 1/5 lip balm-y, very sheer colour payoff
Texture: 5/5 moisturizing, but cannot replace a lipbalm
Longevity: 2/5 in an hour the colour and glossy effect completely disappears
Packaging: 4/5 a chubby lip crayon; great for storage and you don't need to use a sharpener - just roll it up
Price: 3/5 $150 HKD/ €18 in Germany for a lip balm that is not as good as a lip balm, it's rather expensive
Overall: 3/5 Photobucket I would go for the new intense formula if I am looking for a great lipstick that takes over a lip balm and lip gloss - and the other colours in the collection are as gorgeous too!

I love BOTH the Chubby Stick and the Chubby Stick Intense. I love that they're unscented, unlike the Revlon Kissable Balm Stain. Grandest Grape looks like a really nice shade!

Oh this is exciting - I actually have the product you're reviewing! (:
I don't use it very often, though. I usually prefer my Maybelline lip gloss.
Following you now! Hope to keep in touch~

I'm your 1000th subscriber! The Intense version looks amazing, I didn't really care for the regular version since it wasn't moisturizing and it gave off so little colour.

love the darker colors in the collection, and the price is definitely not worth it for the sheer balms; great review :D
